Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Rattlers have fared on June 8...since 2000.

2000: The Rattlers lost 8-5 at Fort Wayne. The Rattlers tied the game 5-5 with four runs in the top of the seventh inning. But, the Wizards scored three times in the bottom of the seventh off Craig Anderson and Erik Grunwald. An error on shortstop Ruben Castillo led to a pair of those runs scoring. Rattler record after this game: 33-26

2001: The Rattlers lost 5-2 at Burlington. The Bees scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to erase a 2-1 deficit. A catcher's interference, another error on a sacrifice, and four hits got the Bees the lead. Clint Nageotte struck out six without a walk over 5-1/3 innings, but took the loss. Rattler record after this game: 34-25

2002: The Rattlers won 5-2 at Fort Wayne. Wisconsin erased a 2-1 deficit with three runs in the top of the seventh. Dan Floyd's RBI single drove in the tying run. Greg Dobbs sent in the go-ahead run with a single. A sacrifice fly by Jason Van Meetren plated the final run. Mike Kesten actually got the final four outs and allowed only one hit for the save. Rattler record after this game: 28-33

2003: The Rattlers lost 4-3 at South Bend. A pair of errors in the bottom of the eighth inning let the winning run score. Wisconsin had just four hits in the game. Chris Phillips had a two-run double and Tim Merritt had a solo homer for the runs. Rattler record after this game: 35-25.

2004: The Rattlers beat Quad Cities 8-3. Wisconsin rallied from a 3-2 deficit with six runs in the bottom of the seventh. Chris Collins hit a three-run double to put the Rattlers up 5-3. Rattler record after this game: 25-33

2005: The Rattlers had an off-day. Rattler record on this date: 33-26

2006: The Rattlers lost 5-1 at home to Kane County. The Rattler defense committed four errors and there was a passed ball in the game. Robby Hudson's two-out RBI single in the third inning was the only run for Wisconsin. Rattler record after this game: 25-35

2007: The Rattlers lost 8-6 at home to Kane County. Kane County went up 8-2 with a five-run sixth inning. Trevor Lawhorn hit a grand slam in the eighth inning to get the Rattlers close. Rattler record after this game: 17-41

A 2-5 record on June 8. Thumbs down on the day.
