Cutting this kind of close

Sigh of relief in Fort Wayne.
The TinCaps’ home opener will have beer and other adult beverages for fans.

Greg Leatherman, Fort Wayne executive director of redevelopment, said the Indiana Alcohol Beverage Commission on Tuesday approved the liquor license for Parkview Field. The license will be owned by the city and allow it to serve beer, wine and liquor at the new baseball stadium.

Leatherman said the stadium isn’t quite ready to serve alcohol, but the approval means there will be no complications come April 16, the first game at the stadium.

“When we need to be ready, we’ll be able to pour,” he said.
Set 'em up!
