South Bend 5, Notre Dame 1
The South Bend Silver Hawks held the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to just one hit, and none after the first inning, in a 5-1 victory Tuesday night in an exhibition game at Coveleski Stadium. The game, which doubled as a fundraiser for the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation, was the final tune-up for the Silver Hawks as they prepare to open their season Thursday night.
