You swat at them, but it does no good. They’re simply annoying, just like the Cedar Rapids Kernels last night. They were the Midwest League baseball equivalent of gnats, pesky little buggers who bothered the Kane County Cougars all night in an important 6-1 win at Memorial Stadium.
