Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of June 24, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 38-33; 2nd National League Central): The Brewers beat the Twins 4-3. Minnesota held a 3-2 lead with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, but Milwaukee rallied for the win. Trevor Hoffman pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 42-31; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): Nashville won 8-3 in 13 innings at Albuquerque. Angel Salome was 4-for-8 with two RBI for the Sounds. Nashville scored five times in the top of the thirteenth for the win.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 40-32 overall, 2-1 second half; T-1st Southern League North Division): Huntsville lost 8-5 to Chattanooga. David Welch allowed five runs (one earned) and took the loss.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 40-24; 1st Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 12-1 to Dunedin. Michael Bowman (’09) allowed five runs on four hits and five walks over three innings for the loss.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 1-1; T-1st Pioneer League North Division): Helena lost 8-7 to Missoula. Jake Odorizzi gave up five runs on six hits over four innings for the loss. Eric Arnett, Milwaukee’s #1 pick in the ’09 draft, allowed two runs on one hit in an inning for his pro debut. Josh Prince of the Brewers matched a Pioneer League record for stolen bases in a game.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 1-2; T-4th Arizona League East Division): The Brewers lost 12-6 to the Cubs.
