Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of June 21, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 37-32; 2nd National League Central): The Brewers lost 3-2 at Detroit. Casey McGehee and Craig Counsell homered for the Brewers. Yovani Gallardo stuck out eight, but allowed a three run homer to Brandon Inge in the sixth inning with two outs to take the loss.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 41-30; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): Nashville lost 2-1 in Oklahoma City. Chase Wright allowed one run on six hits over 7-1/3 innings, but the RedHawks scored an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth inning to break a 1-1 tie.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 38-31; 1st Southern League North Division): Huntsville won 8-3 at Birmingham. Taylor Green went 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBI. The win by the Stars was coupled with a loss by Carolina and Huntsville won the first half division title.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 40-21; 1st Florida State League North Division): The Manatees were off on Sunday.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: Pioneer League): Helena starts their season on Tuesday

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 1-0; T-1st Arizona League East Division): The Brewers beat the Giants 8-7 in 12 innings.
