Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of June 19, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 37-30; 1st National League Central): The Brewers lost 10-4 at Detroit in a rain-shortened game. Milwaukee was up 3-0 after a three-run homer by Prince Fielder in the top of the first inning. But, Braden Looper allowed seven runs on eight hits over 3-2/3 innings.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 41-28; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): Nashville won 14-3 at Oklahoma City. Adam Heether, Angel Salome, Brendan Katin, and Jason Bourgeois all had three hits and two RBI for the Sounds.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 37-30; T-1st Southern League North Division): Huntsville was swept in a doubleheader at Birmingham. The Barons won game one 4-2 in nine innings on a game-ending homer. Huntsville trailed 2-0 in game two, until Birmingham scored nine times in the bottom of the sixth for an 11-0 win. The Stars have lost five straight and are tied with Carolina for the division lead with two games remaining in the half.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 40-21; 1st Florida State League East Division): The Manatees are off until Monday. The Florida State League All-Star Game is tonight in Fort Myers.
