Complete scoreboard
@Wisconsin 3, Peoria 2: "I'll take (the runs) when we can get 'em," Isom said with a chuckle after watching his team claim the first two games of the four-game set. "Fortunately, it was at the end of the game tonight. We made that one interesting. It was a fun one to be in."
@West Michigan 4, Great Lakes 1: "I haven't gone eight innings since college, but I felt comfortable. ... I felt strong the whole time," said Sorensen, a former Michigan State standout in his second minor league season. He threw 96 pitches.
Dayton 7, @Lansing 3: Dragons version | Lugnuts version
@Fort Wayne 11, South Bend 3: Stiven Osuna’s last start was so bad, it cost him a spot in Fort Wayne’s starting rotation. But with Nick Schmidt’s promotion, Osuna was given another shot. He didn’t disappoint.
Cedar Rapids 10 @Burlington 2: Will Smith has figured out the Burlington Bees. The Bees, on the other hand, have not figured out the Cedar Rapids Kernels pitcher.
@Quad Cities 4, Kane County 2: He expected them, but there were no opening-night jitters for Quad-Cities second baseman Jason Stidham. The first member of St. Louis' 2009 draft class to reach the Midwest League simply played the game.
@Clinton 4, Beloit 3: "Moss is an older guy; he's been around. He knows how to hit and just stays within his swing and hits good pitches," Clinton manager Scott Steinmann said. "We think he can be a productive hitter for us, maybe not so much on the home runs, but he's going to drive in runs in situational times. We like him in the middle of the lineup. It helps us out."
