After two awkward swings to start the sequence, Hernandez turned on an Adams offering and planted it into the left-field deck to open a 4-0 lead.
@South Bend 8, Fort Wayne 3: It took until the final game of the first half of the season, but South Bend's Silver Hawks finally managed to put a dent in the Fort Wayne TinCaps. South Bend's 8-3 minor-league baseball victory on Sunday against Fort Wayne ended a nine-game losing streak, and it was the first time South Bend beat Fort Wayne in 12 tries.
