If Thursday's Game Were a Movie...

it would be:

Let's be honest. Most of Stallone's movies aren't very good. Daylight was one of those movies you wish you could forget, but it fits the bill tonight.

You were almost certain that Stallone would make it through and save the day. At the last second, something goes wrong and maybe things won't turn out. But, in the end it works out for Sly.

The Rattlers were up 6-2 into the bottom of the ninth inning. The Chiefs loaded the bases and scored a pair of runs with only one out. But, a 4-6-3 double play ends the game and gives the Rattlers the win.

Three (or 3-1/2) things of note: These are the first consecutive road victories for the Rattlers since May 5-6 at Cedar Rapids. This is the first road series win for the Rattlers since they took a three game series from the Beloit Snappers on the first road trip of the season. Jose Escalona was the winning pitcher for the first time since May 1st and he snapped a personal seven game losing streak.

Complete Boxscore HERE.

(NOTE: This boxscore may not reflect a scoring change until Friday or Saturday. Both of Jose Escalona's runs were originally ruled earned because of an infield single for Robinson Chirinos. After the game, the Chirinos infield single was changed to an E-5 and both runs against Escalona in the fifth inning became unearned.)
