Mariner System Report (Games of 7/20)

Seattle (MAJ: 45-50; 4th AL West): The Mariners were off on Thursday. They start a series at home with the Red Sox tonight.

Tacoma (AAA – 53-43; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Las Vegas 7-1. Cha Seung Baek (WI ’00) pitched seven scoreless innings and gave up four hits with three walks and four strikeouts for his ninth win of the season. Shin soo Choo (WI ’02) homered and knocked in three runs.

San Antonio (AA – 44-51; 17-10 second half 1st Texas League South Division): San Antonio beat Frisco 6-4. The Missions scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to rally from a 4-3 deficit. Marshall Hubbard (WI ’05) homered earlier in the game. Stephen Kahn (WI ’05) got the win in relief and Eric O’Flaherty (WI ’05) pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.

Inland Empire (High-A – 52-43, 13-12 second half; 3rd California League South Division): Inland Empire beat Lake Elsinore 6-5 in ten innings. The 66ers scored a run in the top of the ninth inning to tie the game. Omar Falcon (WI ’05) drove in the go ahead run in the tenth.

Everett (Short Season-A – 15-16; 4th Northwest League West Division): Everett lost 13-7 to Boise. Greg Halman and Manelik Pimentel both homered for the Sox.

AZL M’s (Rookie – 13-11; 4th Arizona League): The Mariners beat the Angels 7-4. Wellington Dotel and Alex Liddi each had a home run for the M’s.
