Mariner System Report (Games of 7/30)

Seattle (MAJ: 51-53; 4th AL West): The Mariners beat the Indians 7-3. Seattle took two out of three games in the series at Jacobs Field. Former Appleton Fox Raul Ibanez drove in a pair of runs during a four run ninth inning. JJ Putz (WI ’00) pitched a scoreless ninth for his twenty-second save.

Tacoma (AAA – 57-50; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Oklahoma 8-7. Cha Seung Baek (WI ’00) struck out eight over six innings for his tenth win of the season. Bryan LaHair (WI ’04) drove in three runs and Chris Snelling (WI ’00) knocked in two for the Rainiers. Tacoma built an 8-1 lead and held on for the win.

San Antonio (AA – 49-56; 22-15 second half 1st Texas League South Division): San Antonio beat Midland 4-2. Sebastien Boucher (WI ’05) had three hits for the Missions. Eric O’Flaherty (WI ’05) got the final two outs of the game for his seventh save of the season.

Inland Empire (High-A – 56-49, 17-18 second half; T-3rd California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 3-1 to High Desert. Brent Johnson (WI ’05) drove in the only run for the 66ers.

Everett (Short Season-A – 19-22; 4th Northwest League West Division): Everett beat Spokane 6-2. Mike Schilling got the win and struck out five over five innings. Marcos Villezcas drove in three runs for the Sox second win in a row.

AZL M’s (Rookie – 15-17; 1-3 8th Arizona League): The Mariners lost 8-3 to the Giants.
