Mariner System Report (Games of 7/16)

Seattle (MAJ: 44-48; 4th AL West): Seattle lost 4-3 in eleven innings at Toronto. Felix Hernandez (WI ’03) allowed three runs over 6-2/3 innings and got a no decision.

Tacoma (AAA – 51-41; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma lost 4-3 at Portland. Justin Leone (WI ’00) homered for the Beavers. Bobby Livingston (WI ’03) took the loss for the Rainiers. Tacoma’s offense had five hits in the game.

San Antonio (AA – 41-50; 14-10 second half 2nd Texas League South Division): San Antonio beat Springfield 7-0. Mike Wilson (WI ’05) and Wladimir Balentien (WI ’04) each had a home run and three RBI for the Missions. Yung Chi Chen (WI '05) also homered for San Antonio. Travis Blackley allowed four hits over seven innings for the win.

Inland Empire (High-A – 51-41, 12-10 second half; 3rd California League South Division): Inland Empire beat Lancaster 7-2. Casey Craig (WI ’06) had a pair of hits and four RBI. Jeff Dominguez (WI ’06) was 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Everett (Short Season-A – 14-13; 4th Northwest League West Division): Everett lost 8-4 at Spokane. Bryan Sabatella (WI ’06) was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Curt Ledbetter (WI ’06) had a pinch-hit RBI double for the Sox. Steve Uhlmansiek gave up three runs on four hits and four walks over 3-1/3 innings. (Note: The story at the Herald just kind of stops in the middle as of 9am this morning.)

AZL M’s (Rookie – 10-9; 4th Arizona League): The Mariners were off yesterday.
