Mariner System Report (Games of 7/13)

Seattle (MAJ: 43-46; 4th AL West): Seattle was off yesterday.

Tacoma (AAA – 50-39; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma lost 12-4 at Portland. Jon Nelson (WI ’03) and Chris Snelling (WI ’00) both homered for the Rainiers. Terrmel Sledge (WI ’01) homered for the Beavers. John Knott had a grand slam for Portland.

San Antonio (AA – 39-50; 12-9 second half 2nd Texas League South Division): San Antonio beat Arkansas 7-6. Wladimir Balentien (WI ’04) hit his fifteenth homer of the season and drove in a pair of runs. Ryan Feierabend (WI ’04) gave up two runs on five hits over six innings for his sixth win of the season. Eric O’Flaherty (WI ’05) gave up one run over the final two innings for the save.

Inland Empire (High-A – 48-41, 9-10 second half; 3rd California League South Division): Inland Empire was off on Thursday.

Everett (Short Season-A – 14-10; 3rd Northwest League West Division): Everett beat Spokane 5-4. Ricky Orta gave up one run over five innings with five strikeouts for the win. Chris Minaker homered and drove in a pair of runs for the Sox. Kameron Mickolio pitched a scoreless bottom of the ninth for the save.

AZL M’s (Rookie – 9-9; 4th Arizona League): The Mariners lost 3-2 to the Angels.
