SEATTLE (MAJ: 18-29 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 9-4 at Detroit. Former Wisconsin-Oshkosh Titan Jarrod Washburn allowed nine runs on 12 hits over 2-1/3 innings for the loss. Raul Ibanez (Foxes, ’94) drove in one of the runs for the Mariners.
TACOMA (AAA: 23-22, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 3-2 to Las Vegas. Jeff Clement (’05) and Rob Johnson (’05) both homered for Tacoma, but those were the only two runs for the Rainiers in the game.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 29-16, 2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Chattanooga 6-4. Mike Wilson (’05) and Michael Saunders (’06) homered and Mumba Rivera (’05) got the save for West Tennessee.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 20-26, T-2nd California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Inland Empire 13-8. Greg Halman (’07) hit two homers and drove in six runs for High Desert. Carlos Peguero (’07) and Matt Mangini also homered on a windy night in High Desert. Carlos Triunfel had three hits and two RBI for the Mavs.
