Mariner System Report (Games of 7/11)

Seattle (MAJ: 43-46; 4th AL West): Seattle is off until Thursday.

Tacoma (AAA – 50-38; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma is off until Thursday.

San Antonio (AA – 37-50; 10-9 second half 2nd Texas League South Division): San Antonio lost 7-1 at Arkansas. Yung Chi Chen (WI ’05) drove in the only run for the Missions. Chad Fillinger (WI ’05) pitched four innings in relief and gave up one run, but San Antonio was down 6-1 by the time he got into the game.

Inland Empire (High-A – 48-40, 9-9 second half; 3rd California League South Division): Inland Empire lost to Rancho Cucamonga 4-3 in eleven innings. Cibney Bello (WI ’05) struck out eight and gave up one run over six innings for a no decision. The Quakes took a 3-2 lead in the top of the tenth, but Reed Eastley tied the game with a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the tenth. Then, Juan Doñe (WI ’02) gave up a run in the top of the eleventh.

Everett (Short Season-A – 12-10; 3rd Northwest League West Division): Everett was off on Tuesday.

AZL M’s (Rookie – 9-7; 4th Arizona League): The Mariners were off on Tuesday.
