Mariner System Report(Games of 7/8)

Seattle (MAJ: 42-46; 4th AL West): Seattle lost 2-1 to the Tigers. Former Appleton Fox Raul Ibanez hit his twentieth home run of the season for the only Mariner run. Former UW-Oshkosh Titan Jarrod Washburn gave up two runs (one earned) over six innings, but got the loss.

Tacoma (AAA – 49-38; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Portland 6-1. Cha Seung Baek (WI ’00) gave up one hit over seven shutout innings for his eighth win of the season. Adam Jones (WI ’04) homered, drove in three, and extended his hitting streak to twenty games. Jeff Clement (WI ’05) added a pair of hits for Tacoma.

San Antonio (AA – 36-48; 9-7 second half 2nd Texas League South Division): San Antonio lost 4-1 to Midland. Ryan Feierabend (WI ’04) allowed three runs (two earned) over 6-2/3 innings and struck out seven, but took the loss. Mike Wilson (WI ’05) drove in the only Mission run.

Inland Empire (High-A – 46-39, 7-8 second half; 4th California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 12-5 at Lancaster. Chris Colton (WI ’05) was 2-for-3 with three runs scored for the 66er offense. Justin Jordan (WI ’05) took the loss by giving up seven runs (five earned) over 3-1/3 innings.

Everett (Short Season-A – 11-9; 3rd Northwest League West Division): Everett beat Eugene 8-1. Manilek Pimentel homered and had four RBI for the Sox. Ricky Orta pitched 2-2/3 scoreless innings for his first professional win.

AZL M’s (Rookie – 9-5; 3rd Arizona League): The Mariners beat the Cubs 5-3. Carlos Peguero had three hits, including his fourth home run of the season, and drove in three runs for the M’s. Aric Van Gaalen allowed one run on two hits over five innings for his third win.
