Mariner System Report (Games of 5/12)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 15-25 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 13-12 at Texas in ten innings. Raul Ibanez (Foxes, ’94) had two hits, a homer, and three RBI for Seattle. Wladimir Balentien (’04) added a homer and Jeff Clement (’05) went 2-for-5 with two runs scored for the M’s. Seattle scored five times in the top of the first for an early lead and four times in the ninth to tie the game, but the Rangers won the game in the tenth.

TACOMA (AAA: 20-17, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Omaha 6-4. Victor Diaz hit a pair of homers and Oswaldo Navarro (’05) went 3-for-3 with an RBI as Tacoma won their third straight.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 23-15, 2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 7-2 at Birmingham. Denny Stark (’97) allowed six runs on nine hits over 5-2/3 innings for a loss.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 17-21, T-2nd California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 4-1 at Bakersfield. Jamie McOwen (’07) drove in the only High Desert run.
