Mariner System Report (Games of 5/16)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 16-27 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 6-4 to San Diego. Raul Ibanez (Foxes, ’94) had a pair of hits and scored two runs for the M’s. But, Seattle fell behind early to the Padres and fell back to 11 games under.500.

TACOMA (AAA: 22-18, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Tucson 8-4. Yung Chi Chen (’05) homered and drove in a pair of runs for Tacoma.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 25-16, 2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Mobile 6-5 in 10 innings. West Tennessee trailed 5-0, but scored four times in the eighth, once in the ninth, and once in the tenth for the win. Marshall Hubbard (’05) tied the game with an RBI triple in the ninth. Jon Nelson (’03) scored the winning run on an error.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 19-23, 2nd California League South Division): The Mavericks won 13-4 at Rancho Cucamonga. Greg Halman (’07) homered, tripled, and drove in three runs. Carlos Peguero (’07) also drove in three runs for the Mavs, who have now won two straight.
