Mariner System Report (Games of 5/7)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 14-21 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 2-0 to Texas. Seattle managed just two hits in the game.

TACOMA (AAA: 17-15, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 4-3 at Iowa. Oswaldo Navarro (’04, ’05) had two hits and drove in a run for Tacoma, but the Rainiers left the tying run on third base in the ninth.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 22-11, 2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 7-5 to Mississippi. Johan Limonta (’06) homered in his Double-A debut, but the Braves scored twice in the top of the ninth to break a 5-5 tie. The loss ended West Tennessee’s six-game winning streak.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 15-18, T-2nd California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 6-4 at Lancaster. Greg Halman (’07) had a homer for High Desert, but the JetHawks scored four times in the bottom of the eighth inning to rally for the win.
