Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Rattlers have fared on May 11…since 2000

2000: The Rattlers beat Lansing 12-7 at home. The Lugnuts led 5-2 heading into the bottom of the fourth. Then, the Rattlers scored eight runs on four hits and they sent 13 men to the plate. There were five walks and a hit batsman in the inning. They did not homer in the inning, but Kevin Robles and Ryan Christianson both went deep in the game.

2001: The Rattlers won 7-2 at Dayton. Rattler shortstop Corey Freeman hit his first pro homer. The Rattlers broke open a 3-2 game with five runs in the top of the eighth inning. Kevin Olore got the win and Russ Morgan and Chad Wiles finished off the game by getting the final ten outs.

2002: The Rattlers beat Lansing 4-3 in Grand Chute. Corey Freeman hit a two-run homer to give the Rattlers a 3-1 lead. The Lugnuts came back to tie the game with a pair of runs in the sixth. In the eighth, Alejandro Cadena doubled and scored on an infield single by Luis Oliveros and a throwing error by Pedro Olivero. Jeff Perez, pitched the final three innings for the win.

2003: The Rattler home game with the Battle Creek Yankees was rained out.

2004: The Rattlers won 12-9 at Kane County. Adam Jones went 3-for-6 with a homer, a triple, three runs scored, and three runs scored. Eric O’Flaherty was the winning pitcher despite allowing six runs on nine hits. Brian Stitt struck out the side in order in the bottom of the ninth.

2005: The Rattlers beat West Michigan 4-1 at home. Jason Snyder allowed one unearned run on two hits over eight innings for the win. I don’t want to freak anybody out, but this day game started at 11:38am and had temperature of 48 with the wind out of the North-Northwest at 23mph.

2006: The Rattler game with the SWING at home got rained out. Since it was the last game of the series, it would be made up in Davenport, Iowa on June 15.

2007: Great Lakes beat the Rattlers 6-5 in Midland. Wisconsin broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Carlos Triunfel. But, the Loons scored twice in the bottom of the ninth. Bridger Hunt drove in the tying run and scored the winning run on a throwing error.

A record of 5-1 with two rainouts makes this a pretty good day in Rattler history...since 2000.
