2000: The Rattlers lost 10-9 at Peoria. Chris Snelling was 3-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBI, but the Rattlers needed an RBI single from Oscar Ramirez in the top of the ninth to tie the game 9-9. The Chiefs scored eight runs (two earned) off Rattler starter JJ Putz in 1-1/3 innings. The Rattlers rallied from a 9-0 deficit…BUT, Gregg Clark hit a one-out homer off Julio Mateo in the bottom of the ninth for the walk-off at Vonachen Stadium. Rattler record after this game: 19-17
2001: The Rattlers beat Fort Wayne 4-1 in Grand Chute in a day game after the 17-inning game the previous night. Chuck Lopez and Jamie Bubela each homered for the Rattlers. Kevin Olore struck out nine while allowing one run over seven innings for the win. Dan Head got the save with two scoreless innings. Rattler record after this game: 24-15
2002: The Rattlers won their first ever game at the New Veterans Memorial Stadium with a 7-5 win over the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Chris Collins hit a two-out grand slam off in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rattlers erase a 5-3 deficit. Lanny Patten got the Rattlers out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the eighth and worked a 1-2-3 ninth for the save. Rattler record after this game: 18-21
2003: The Rattlers beat Lansing 4-3 in ten innings in Grand Chute. Wisconsin had a 1-0 lead early. Lansing tied the game with a run in the top of the eighth. Rene Rivera drove in a run with a single in the bottom of the eighth to make the score 2-1. But, Lansing scored a run off Rich Dorman in the ninth to tie the game. In the tenth, Lansing scored a run off Renee Cortez for a 3-2 lead. Wisconsin tied the game in the bottom of the tenth on an RBI double by Matt Hagen. Hagen scored the winning run on a wild pitch. Rattler record after this game: 21-18
2004: Cedar Rapids beat the Rattlers 8-0 in Grand Chute. Eric O’Flaherty allowed six runs over five innings and the Rattler hitters managed just four hits. Rattler record after this game: 15-22
2005: Lansing beat the Rattlers 5-3 at Oldsmobile Park. The Lugnuts scored three runs in the seventh inning off Jason Snyder to come back from a 3-2 deficit. Rattler record after this game: 20-18
2006: The Rattlers shutout Kane County 4-0 in Geneva. Justin Thomas, Nick Allen, and Joe Woerman combined on the five-hit shutout. Jairo Hernandez drove in two runs and had two doubles. Rattler record after this game: 17-21.
2007: The Rattlers were off. Rattler record on this date: 10-26
A 4-3 record with a grand slam for, a walk-off homer against, a shutout of the Cougars, and a wild pitch for a walk-off win make this an eventful day in Rattler history.
