RH JUAN RAMIREZ: Signed as a non-drafted free agent out of Nicaragua by Seattle in July 2005.

DOWN IN VENEZUELA: Ramirez made his professional debut pitching for the Aguirre in the Venezuelan Summer League in 2006. He went 5-1 with a 1.66ERA in 14 games (13 starts)

ON TO EVERETT: Ramirez made 15 starts for Seattle’s Northwest League affiliate in 2007. He was 3-7 with a 4.30 ERA for the AquaSox.

BREAKING A STREAK IN STYLE: Ramirez lost five straight decisions from July 16 through August 17 of last season. But, he won his next two starts with wins on August 22 and 27.

STINGY: Ramirez allowed three or fewer earned runs in 12 of those fifteen starts.

LAST START: Ramirez pitched a career high seven innings and struck out a career high nine batters in a game against the West Michigan Whitecaps on April 28 on Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium. He also walked two and allowed five hits. Ramirez gave up three runs and left after the Rattlers tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the seventh. West Michigan beat the Rattlers 4-3.

LAST WIN: Ramirez won at Salem-Keizer for the Everett AquaSox on August 27, 2007. He gave up two runs on four hits over six innings with a walk and four strikeouts.

VS. GREAT LAKES: Ramirez has never faced the Loons.

VS. DODGERS: Ramirez has never faced an affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
