Tonight's Rattler Starting Pitcher (6/10)

LHP DONNIE HUME: Selected by the Mariners in the 8th round of the 2007 draft out San Diego State University.

FIRST PRO START: Hume is made his professional debut as the starting pitcher in the second game of the doubleheader against the Quad Cities River Bandits on April 5, 2008. He pitched five shutout innings for the victory in the 2-0 Rattler win. The only hit he allowed was a one out double in the bottom of the fifth. He struck out five and walked a pair for the win.

LAST START: Hume beat the Peoria Chiefs on June 4 at home. He allowed one unearned run on two hits over five innings in a 6-1 Rattler victory. He walked two and struck out two.

STRETCHING OUT: Hume’s six innings in a start against Cedar Rapids on May 8 set a new career high for him.

VS. BURLINGTON: Hume got a no decision against Burlington on May 13. He allowed a pair of runs on six hits over 5-1/3 innings. He did not walk a batter and struck out seven. The Rattlers would win 6-4.
