Rattler History...Since 2000

EDIT: I got ahead of myself and put up the July 21 post. Here is the July 20 post.

This is how the Timber Rattlers have fared on July 20...since 2000:

2000: The Rattlers lost 7-0 to Burlington at home. Gary Majewski allowed one hit over six innings and Wisconsin had just two hits in the game. Rattler records after this game: 17-10 second half, 55-40 overall

2001: The Rattlers lost 5-2 at Michigan. Chad Qualls allowed five hits over eight innings. Sheldon Fulse homered for Wisconsin. Rattler records after this game: 17-11, 59-37

2002: The Rattlers won 6-1 at Beloit. Juan Done pitched seven shutout innings, allowed three hits, and struck out 10 and Eddie Menchaca had three hits for Wisconsin. Rattler records after this game: 7-20, 37-59

2003: The Rattlers won 3-2 at Quad Cities. Gary Harris hit a two-run homer in the fifth to tie the game. Carlos Arroyo hit a solo homer in the sixth for the lead. Rattler records after this game: 12-17, 50-45

2004: The Rattlers lost 8-2 at home to Burlington. Tom Oldham struck out nine over seven innings, but took the loss. Rattler records after this game: 11-14, 42-52

2005: The Rattlers were off. Rattler record on this date: 12-14, 51-45

2006: The Rattlers lost 1-0 at Burlington. Brady Everett hit a solo homer in the bottom of the seventh. Carlos Rosa pitched a six-hitter with six strikeouts for a complete game victory. Rattler records after this game: 8-19, 35-62

2007: The Rattlers lost 2-0 at Beloit. The Snappers had just two hits in the game, but sent the Rattlers to their twelfth straight loss. Rattler records after this game: 8-18, 30-64

A 2-5 record. Ugh day in Rattler history...since 2000.

Here is how the Rattlers have fared on July 21...since 2000.

2000: The Rattlers lost 8-5 at Michigan. John Buck of the Battle Cats had a three run double in the first inning and the Rattlers could not come back from the deficit. Rattler records after this game: 18-11 second half, 55-41 overall

2001: The Rattlers lost 3-2 in ten innings at Michigan. Blake Bone drove in both Wisconsin runs. Mike Gallo was the winning pitcher with a scoreless top of the tenth. Rattler records after this game: 17-12, 59-37

2002: The Rattlers lost 7-1 at home to Beloit. Dan Floyd drove in the only Rattler run with a triple. Rattler records after this game: 7-21, 37-60

2003: The Rattlers lost 3-0 at home to Peoria. Wisconsin managed just five hits. Rattler records after this game: 12-18, 50-46

2004: The Rattlers lost 8-7 at home to Burlington. Bryan LaHair and Chris Colton homered for the Rattlers. But, the Bees scored four times in the top of the ninth off Mike Hrynio and Bria Stitt to rally for the win. Rattler records after this game: 11-15, 42-53

2005: The Rattlers won 8-2 over Clinton at home. Aaron Jensen allowed one run over six innings for the win. Mike Wilson drove in a pair of runs. Rattler records after this game: 13-14, 52-45

2006: The Rattlers won 6-5 at Burlington. Johan Limonta hit a pair of homers for Wisconsin. His second home run broke a 5-5 tie in the top of the ninth inning. Rattler records after this game: 9-19, 36-62

2007: The Rattlers lost 5-1 at home to South Bend. Wisconsin managed just three hits as they lost their thirteenth game in a row. Rattler records after this game: 8-19, 30-65

A 2-6 record with some ugly losses. The Limonta day in 2006 almost salvages things. But, in the end not a good day in Rattler history.
