SEATTLE (MAJ: 39-65 4th American League West): The Mariners won 5-1 at Toronto. Former UW-Oshkosh Titan Jarrod Washburn allowed one run over eight innings for the win.
TACOMA (AAA: 54-54, 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 8-3 at Memphis. Luis Oliveros (’02) drove in one of the runs for the Rainiers in the day game against the Redbirds.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 56-50, 15-21 5th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Birmingham 6-2. Marshall Hubbard (’05) homered and Mike Wilson (’05) drove in two runs for West Tennessee. Justin Thomas (’06) got the win with four innings of shutout relief.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 47-60, 15-22 second half 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 8-6 at Lancaster. Carlos Triunfel (’07) homered and drove in a pair of runs. But, the JetHawks broke a 6-6 tie with two runs in the bottom of the eighth.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 16-24, 4th Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox lost 5-4 to Spokane. The Indians scored twice in the top of the ninth inning and held on for the win.
PULASKI (Rookie: 25-14, 1st Appalachian League East Division): The M’s won 4-2 over Princeton.
PEORIA (Rookie: 9-19, 0-1 T-6th Arizona League): The AZL M’s lost 7-1 to the Athletics in the second half opener.
