SEATTLE (MAJ: 38-61 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 4-0 at home to Boston. Seattle had eight hits, but did not score off Jon Lester or Jeremy Papelbon. Former UW-Oshkosh Titan Jarrod Washburn pitched well, but got the loss.
TACOMA (AAA: 50-52, 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 6-1 to Tucson. Joe Woerman allowed six runs on eight hits over seven innings to take the loss.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 52-48, 11-19 5th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx were off on Monday.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 44-57, 12-19 second half 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Lancaster 11-5. Carlos Triunfel (’07) hit a grand slam and Gavin Dickey (’08) drove in a pair of runs for High Desert. Justin Souza (’08) pitched three scoreless innings of relief to get the win.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 15-19, 2nd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox lost 9-5 at Boise. Wellington Dotel went 4-for-4 with a pair of solo homers, but the Sox were down 8-0 heading into the top of the seventh inning.
PULASKI (Rookie: 22-11, 1st Appalachian League East Division): The M’s lost 5-2 at Danville.
PEORIA (Rookie: 9-14 T-7th Arizona League): The AZL M’s were off on Monday.
