Mariner System Report (Games of 7/25)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 38-64 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 5-4 in ten innings at Toronto. The Blue Jays scored two runs off Mark Lowe (’05) in the bottom of the tenth for the win.

TACOMA (AAA: 53-53, 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers won 10-9 in 12 innings at Nashville. Mike Wilson (’05) hit a grand slam early in the game for Tacoma, but the Sounds took a big lead into the ninth. The Rainiers tied the game 8-8 with four runs in the top of the ninth and Matt Tuiasosopo (’05) hit a two run homer in the top of the twelfth for the winning runs.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 55-49, 14-20 T-4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx won 7-1 at Chattanooga. Adam Moore (’06) went 4-for-5 with a homer for West Tennessee. Marshall Hubbard (’05) also homered.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 47-58, 15-20 second half 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks won 6-3 at Lancaster. Chris Minaker (’06) had a pair of hits and an RBI for High Desert. Anthony Varvaro (’07) struck out seven over 5-2/3 innings for the win as the Mavs ended an eight-game road losing streak.

EVERETT (Short Season-A: 16-22, T-3rd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox beat Spokane 4-3 at home. Walter Suriel ('08) allowed one run and struck out ten over 5-1/3 innings for the win. Everett snapped a five game losing streak with the victory.

PULASKI (Rookie: 23-14, 1st Appalachian League East Division): The M’s lost 13-7 at home to the Burlington Royals.

PEORIA (Rookie: 9-18 8th Arizona League): The AZL M’s lost 9-6 to the Padres.
