Wisconsin 8 @Burlington 6: "We broke down fundamentally on a couple plays early in the game that cost us a couple runs -- a pop-up priority in the first inning; short-hopping the catcher on a relay throw when the guy's dead out. A tough play for the catcher to make," said Bees manager Jim Gabella. "Little fundamentals that even though they don't come down as errors, if you don't play fundamental baseball, it's going to come back to haunt you. And it kind of did tonight."
@West Michigan 7, Fort Wayne 3: See Gustavo Nunez hit. See Gustavo Nunez run. See the West Michigan Whitecaps on the brink of a playoff berth.
@Dayton 6, Lansing 3 (7 innings): There seemed to be a little confusion Tuesday, June 16, over whether the Cincinnati Reds’ newly signed draft pick would be immediately assigned to the Dayton Dragons. That would not happen, and, given the evening’s result at Fifth Third Field, not necessary.
Great Lakes @ South Bend: PPD
@Peoria 10, Quad Cities 0: Peoria first inning. The Chiefs sent 11 players to the plate, scoring five runs on three hits, three walks and a hit batter. Kyler Burke, who homered in the second inning, had a two-run single for the big blow of the frame.
@Beloit 2, Clinton 1: Snappers version | LumberKings version
@Cedar Rapids 7, Kane County 6 (14 innings): All along, you expected the Cedar Rapids Kernels to win this game on a walkoff home run, didn’t you? Yeah, right. Going into their pivotal game against Kane County on Tuesday night, the Kernels hadn’t hit a home run at Veterans Memorial Stadium since May 4. That’s 16 straight games.
