Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of June 4, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 31-23; T-1st National League Central): The Brewers lost 4-3 at Florida. Prince Fielder had a homer, a triple, and three RBI for Milwaukee, but Dave Bush gave up four runs in the fourth inning – including a three run homer to Marlins pitcher Justin Johnson – for the loss.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 31-24; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): Nashville beat Iowa 5-2. Brendan Katin homered twice and drove in three runs for the Sounds.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 30-22; 1st Southern League South Division): The Stars were rained out in Huntsville.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 33-14; 1st Florida State League East Division): The Manatees beat Sarasota 7-6 in 14 innings. The Reds scored three times in the bottom of the eighth to take a 5-4 lead. Brevard County scored once in the ninth and both teams traded runs in the tenth. The Manatees scored the fourteenth and made a winner out of outfielder Brett Whiteside, who pitched three scoreless innings.
