Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of June 6, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 33-23; 1st National League Central): The Brewers won 3-0 at Atlanta. Prince Fielder hit a pair of homers and Jeff Suppan pitched 5-1/3 innings for the win. Trevor Hoffman pitched a scoreless ninth for another save and to help the Brewers extend their lead in the NL Central to two games.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 31-26; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): Nashville lost 7-1 at Omaha. Tim Dillard allowed seven runs on 12 hits over 7-1/3 innings to take the loss.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 32-22; 1st Southern League South Division): The Stars won 7-5 at West Tennessee. Kevin Melillo had a pair of RBI and Donovan Hand allowed two runs over six innings for the win. Huntsville is 10-1 against the Diamond Jaxx this season. They have also won nine straight road games.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 34-15; 1st Florida State League East Division): The Manatees won 6-3 at Sarasota. Michael Bowman (’09) picked up the win in his Florida State League debut. Bowman allowed two runs and struck out six over six innings. Caleb Gindl homered and drove in two for the Manatees.
