Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of June 7, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 33-24; 1st National League Central): The Brewers lost 8-7 at Atlanta. Ryan Braun hit a pair of homers and drove in four runs. But, Carlos Villanueva allowed three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Braves rallied from a 7-5 deficit.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 33-26; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): Nashville swept a doubleheader at Omaha. In game one, the Sounds won 8-6. Alcides Escobar had three hits and drove in three runs. In game two, Nashville won 3-1 in ten innings. Michael Garciaparra (’03) homered in the tenth to break a 1-1 tie.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 33-23; 1st Southern League South Division): The Stars split a doubleheader at West Tennessee. In game one, Jonathon Lucroy and Taylor Green homered for Huntsville, but the Diamond Jaxx scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth for a 9-6 win. Huntsville won game two 5-1 in ten innings. Vinny Rottino hit a three-run homer with two out in the top of the tenth. Green followed with another homer.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 34-15; 1st Florida State League East Division): The Manatees game with Charlotte was postponed.
