Mariner System Report (Games of 5/10)

Seattle (MAJ: 15-21; 4th AL West): The Mariners lost 1-0 to Tampa Bay. The winning run scored on a balk in the top of the fifth inning. Seattle hitters managed four hits off three Devil Ray pitchers. Jamie Moyer gave up three hits over eight innings, but got the loss.

Tacoma (AAA – 17-14; 3rd PCL Pacific Northern Division): The Missions beat Round Rock 2-1 in ten innings. Chris Snelling (WI '00) returned from the DL and smacked a game winning RBI single in the bottom of the tenth. Cesar Jimenez (WI '03) gave up one run on four hits over seven innings. Renee Cortez (WI '03) got the win with three scoreless innings of relief.

San Antonio (AA – 11-19; 4th Texas League South Division): San Antonio's game at Springfield was rained out. The game will not be made up this season.

Inland Empire (High-A – 18-14; 2nd; California League South Division): The 66ers lost 6-4 in twelve innings at Modesto. Shawn Nottingham (WI '05) pitched five shutout innings as the starter for Inland Empire, but the Nuts scored an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth off Stephen Kahn (WI '05) and won the game with a home run in the bottom of the twelfth.
