Tacoma (AAA – 18-14; 3rd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Round Rock 7-3. Shin-soo Choo (WI ’02) and Rob Johnson (WI ’05) each had a pair of hits and drove in a run for the Rainiers. Johnson and Adam Jones (WI ’04) each had a home run. Cha Seung Baek (WI ’00) allowed one run on four hits over six innings for the win.
San Antonio (AA – 11-19; 4th Texas League South Division): The Missions were off yesterday.
Inland Empire (High-A – 18-15; T-2nd California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 7-4 at Modesto. Yung Chi Chen (WI ’05) had a pair of hits for the 66ers. Inland Empire trailed 4-1 after Modesto scored four runs off Cibney Bello (WI ’05) in the bottom of the first, but rallied to tie the game with a run in the top of the seventh. Modesto scored three times in the bottom of the eighth for the win.
