April 26 Game Notes

Abbreviated version. Most of the stuff is still valid from the April 25 version.

HOW MANY? Last night’s game between the Rattlers and the Snappers was rained out. Friday marked the sixth time this season a Rattler home date has been lost to the weather. Nine home dates were lost over the entire 2003 and 2007 seasons.

HEADING FOR THE LIGHT: The Rattlers 6-3 in nine day games this season.

BELOIT STARTING PITCHER GAME ONE: David Bromberg was the 32nd round pick of the Twins in the 2005 draft. He was selected out of Palisades High School in Pacific Palisades, California. Bromberg spent 2005 with the Gulf Coast League Twins (3-3, 2.66ERA) and 2006 with the Elizabethton Twins (9-0, 2.78ERA) in the Appalachian League. His last start for the Snappers was his first appearance against the Timber Rattlers. On April 19 at Pohlman Field, Bromberg allowed two runs on two hits with four walks, and five strikeouts over six innings. He left the game with the Snappers leading 3-2, but the Rattlers rallied for a 5-3 win.

BELOIT STARTING PITCHER GAME TWO: Michael Tarsi was the 12th round pick of the Twins in the 2007 draft out of the University of Connecticut. Tarsi went 6-4 with a 3.70ERA in his junior season with the Huskies. Tarsi pitched for the Elizabethton Twins of the Appalachian League after signing his pro contract. Tarsi was 5-2 with a 2.22 ERA in 11 starts for Elizabethton. He is 0-4 with a 9.78ERA in four starts for the Snappers this season. In his last appearance, Tarsi allowed two unearned runs on six hits over eight innings in a loss at West Michigan on April 21. He walked one and struck out three. This is his first appearance against an affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.

The Traveling Wilburys rocked!
