SEATTLE (MAJ: 11-10 3rd American League West): The Mariners beat Baltimore 4-2. Jose Vidro singled in a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to break a 2-2 tie. JJ Putz (’00) pitched a scoreless ninth inning for the save.
TACOMA (AAA: 10-8, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 9-5 to Colorado Springs. Matt Tuiasosopo (’05) had three hits and Oswaldo Navarro (’04, ’05) had two RBI for the Rainiers. But, the Sky Sox knocked Robert Rohrbaugh ('05) out in the third inning.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 11-8, T-2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Birmingham 15-2. Michael Saunders (’06) homered and drove in four runs. Luis Valbuena (’06) also drove in four runs for West Tennessee.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 10-9, T-1st California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 9-4 at Lake Elsinore. Carlos Peguero drove in a pair of runs for High Desert, but the Mavs lost their fourth in a row.
