Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Rattlers have fared on April 16…since 2000

2000: The Timber Rattlers game against West Michigan in Grand Chute was rained out.

2001: The Rattlers game at Peoria was rained out.

2002: The Rattlers beat Quad Cities 5-3. Sean Peless had a pair of homers. One in the fourth made the score 2-0. Wisconsin had a 3-2 lead going to the ninth, but Digno Torres homered off Lanny Patten to tie the game. Alejandro Cadena walked to start the bottom of the ninth and Peless hit game-winner on an 0-2 pitch from Matt Vorwald.

2003: The Rattlers lost 5-4 at Beloit. The Rattlers had a 3-2 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth. But, Prince Fielder tied the game with an RBI double. He scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch by Dave Viane. The final run of the inning scored during a rundown.

2004: The Rattlers won 5-1 over Peoria in Grand Chute. Ryan Feierabend allowed one run over 7.2IP for the win. Oswaldo Navarro had three hits and scored two runs.

2005: Peoria got a little payback with an 11-3 victory at O’Brien Field. Wisconsin had routed the Chiefs 14-2 the night before. Casey Abrams allowed six runs on eight hits in 3.1IP to get tagged with the loss. Luis Montanez did most of the damage with four RBI, including a three-run homer in the third.

2006: The Rattlers were off for Easter.

2007: The Kernels beat the Rattlers 4-3 in Cedar Rapids. Gavin Dickey tied the game 3-3 with an RBI double in the top of the seventh. But, Matt Sweeney singled with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning off Natividad Dilone for the walk-off.

The Rattlers were 2-3 with two rainouts and an off day on April 16. One blowout, one walk-off win, and one walk-off loss. I'd call this day a push.
