Mariner System Report (Games of 4/20)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 10-10 3rd American League West): The Mariners beat the Angels 4-2. Miguel Batista struck out eight over 7-2/3 scoreless innings. Richie Sexson homered and drove in a pair of runs. Ryan Rowland-Smith (’02, ’03) got the final out for the save.

TACOMA (AAA: 10-7, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Colorado Springs 5-4. Charlton Jimerson drove in a pair of runs for Tacoma with a very long double. Eric O’Flaherty (’04, ’05) allowed two runs in two innings of relief work to get the win.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 10-7, 3rd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Birmingham 3-2. Luis Valbuena (’06) drove in two runs for West Tennessee. Rich Dorman (’03) allowed two runs over 6-2/3 innings for a no decision. Mark Kiger hit a homer in the eighth inning to break a 2-2 tie. Mumba Rivera (’05) picked up the win.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 10-8, 1st California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 6-0 at Inland Empire. High Desert had four hits in the game one day after only having one hit against the 66ers.
