RH JUAN RAMIREZ: Signed as a non-drafted free agent out of Nicaragua by Seattle in July 2005.
DOWN IN VENEZUELA: Ramirez made his professional debut pitching for the Aguirre in the Venezuelan Summer League in 2006. He went 5-1 with a 1.66ERA in 14 games (13 starts)
ON TO EVERETT: Ramirez made 15 starts for Seattle’s Northwest League affiliate in 2007. He was 3-7 with a 4.30 ERA for the AquaSox.
STINGY: Ramirez allowed three or fewer earned runs in 12 of those fifteen starts.
LAST START: Ramirez pitched in Wisconsin’s home opener on April 7 against the Clinton LumberKings. He allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits with three walks and four strikeouts over three innings for a loss.
VS. FORT WAYNE: Ramirez has never faced the Wizards.
VS. PADRES: Ramirez faced Eugene, the Northwest League affiliate of the San Diego Padres three times in 2007. He was 0-1 in those three starts with a 3.68ERA. He walked nine and struck out twelve in 14.2IP against the Emeralds.
