Here is how the Rattlers have fared on May 3…since 2000
The Rattlers beat Burlington 7-0 at home. Aquilino Lopez tossed a complete game three-hit shutout with six strikeouts. Chris Snelling had a homer and three RBI for the offense.
The Rattlers home game with Clinton was rained out.
The Rattlers lost 10-7 at Clinton. This was the first time Clinton beat the Rattlers since the 2000 season. Wisconsin had swept the season series from the LumberKings in 2001. The Rattlers had a 4-1 lead after the top of the second, but Ryan Rowland-Smith allowed six runs and Dan Head gave up four more. Corey Freeman, Luis Oliveros, and Miguel Villilo each had two RBI for the Rattlers.
The Rattlers lost 4-3 at Dayton. Gary Harris tied the game 3-3 with an RBI single in the top of the ninth. Dominique Lewis won the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth.
The Rattlers beat Beloit 7-5 at home. A six run second inning with back-to-back RBI doubles by Josh Womack and Michael Cox was just enough for the Rattlers to hang on for the win.
The Rattlers lost 4-3 at Southwest Michigan. This one hurt. Yung Chi Chen doubled in a run with two outs in the top of the eighth inning for a 3-1 lead. But, in the bottom of the ninth, Eric O’Flaherty walked the first two batters and – after a sacrifice bunt – gave up three consecutive RBI singles for a blown save.
 The Rattlers were off.
The Rattlers lost 5-2 to Dayton at home. A quick start had Wisconsin up 2-1, but the Dragons scored twice in the sixth and twice in the ninth.
A 2-4 record, with being walked off in Dayton and Battle Creek...This day stinks.
