Here is how the Rattlers have fared on May 13…since 2000

2000: Peoria beat the Rattlers 4-2 at Pete Vonachen Stadium. Albert Pujols hit a two-run double in the bottom of the first off Caleb Balbuena. Shawn McCorkle hit a two-run homer in the fourth to get the Rattlers to within 3-2. Pujols drove in another run with an eighth inning single. He went 3-for-3 with three RBI to move his average to .331 and RBI total to 24. Rattler record after this game: 17-16

Roy Wells got the win as he allowed one of the longest homers I have ever seen. Samone Peters launched one out of Fifth Third Field in the fourth inning. It was 7-1 heading into the bottom of the ninth. But, Dayton went single, single, walk to load the bases against Tim Burton. Peters drew a walk to force in a run. Chad Wiles entered the game and gave up a two-run single to Wily Mo Pena. Wiles got the next three batters though and saved the game. Rattler record after this game: 21-15

2002: Lansing beat the Rattlers 13-2 in Grand Chute. The Lugnuts scored twice in the first and eight times in the second. Juan Doñe allowed eleven runs on nine hits in 3 innings plus two batters in the fourth. Greg Dobbs and Shin-soo Choo drove in the only Rattler runs. Rattler record after this game: 17-21

2003: The Rattlers beat Lansing 17-7 in Grand Chute. Jon Nelson, Rene Rivera, and Cipriano Garcia each drove in three runs for Wisconsin. Juan Sandoval was the winning pitcher despite allowing seven runs on nine hits in five innings. Rattler record after this game: 18-18

2004: The Rattlers lost 9-4 at Kane County. Two-run homers by Evel Bastida and Adam Jones were the only offense of the night for the Rattlers. Kane County scored four in the second and four more in the seventh to pull away. Rattler record after this game: 14-20

2005: The Rattlers beat West Michigan 8-2 in Grand Chute. Matt Tuiasosopo had three hits and drove in three runs and Asdrubal Cabrera drove in a pair of runs for the Rattlers. Mumba Rivera moved his record to 5-0 with six solid innings. Rattler record after this game: 19-16

GAME ONE: The Rattlers rallied from a 6-3 deficit with six runs in the bottom of the fifth. JB Tucker had a two-run double in the inning. Jeff Gilmore got the win in relief and Joe Woerman got the save.

GAME TWO: Dayton beat the Rattler 6-0 in five innings and Johnny Cueto pitched a no-hitter in a driving rain. Cueto walked two and struck out eight for the first no-hitter against the Rattlers in Grand Chute. Rattler record after these games: 16-19

2007: The Rattlers split a home doubleheader with the Peoria Chiefs.

GAME ONE: Peoria beat the Rattlers 8-5 in Grand Chute. Peoria had a 5-1 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh. Wisconsin scored four to tie the game. A Juan Beltran sacrifice fly drove in the final run of the rally. But, the Chiefs scored three times in the seventh off Steve Uhlmansiek on an RBI double by Josh Lansford and a two-run homer by Wellington Castillo.

GAME TWO: The Rattlers won 5-3 in eight innings. Andy Hargrove hit a homer in the bottom of the second inning for a 3-0 lead. The Chiefs came back to tie the game with two runs in the fourth and one run in the fifth. Hargrove stepped up with a runner on first with two outs in the bottom of the eighth and hit a game-winning homer. Rattler record after these games: 10-24

A 5-5 record with a some blowouts both ways, a no -hitter by Johnny Cueto, a walk-off homer by Andy Hargrove, an Albert Pujols sighting...May 13 is a jam-packed, okay kind of day in Rattler history...Since 2000.
