MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 4-5; National League Central): The Brewers beat the Cubs 8-6 at Wrigley Field. Casey McGehee and Ryan Braun homered for Milwaukee and Trevor Hoffman closed down the Cubs in the bottom of the ninth.
NASHVILLE (AAA: 7-1; Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds won 1-0 at Omaha. Brendan Katin drove in the only run of the game and three Nashville pitchers combined on a three-hitter.
HUNTSVILLE (AA: 4-3; Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 7-2 to Jacksonville. Caleb Gindl drove in one of the Huntsville runs. Alex Periard (’09) allowed five runs over 5-2/3 innings for the loss.
BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 3-5 overall; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees rallied to beat Dunedin 3-2 in ten innings. Brock Kjeldgaard (’09) knocked in two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the game. Juan Sanchez (’09) drove in the winning run in the bottom of the tenth.
