Wisconsin 8, @Cedar Rapids 6 -- How does the Post-Crescent match up with what actually happened? Pretty close considering the person they get their info from for road games.
@Peoria 12, Lansing 1 -- No game story in the Peoria Journal Star but there is an interesting article about Donny Veal, who has a ready made nickname of 'Doc'. The Lansing State Journal notes that the Lugnuts are out of first place after the loss. Yes, a 1/2 game deficit is so hard to make up over the remaining 42 games of the first half.
@West Michigan 3, Burlington 2 -- If Lansing is out of first in the East, who is in first? Why the Whitecaps, of course. How do you figure out magic numbers again? The Bees on the other hand have dropped eight straight.
@Kane County 6, Fort Wayne 4 -- Speaking of first place, the Cougars are back, baby. Wizards made a valiant effort, though.
@Clinton 11, Dayton 7 -- The Dragons were above .500 for one day. I don't think that it will be another three years before they get back there. Although leading 7-0 and losing can't be a good sign.
Southwest Michigan 3, @ Beloit 1 -- One second inning run for the Snappers wasn't enough. According to this Battle Creek Enquirer article, there good pitchers aren't going anywhere, anytime soon. But, they sure do miss last year's hitters.
@Quad Cities 12, South Bend 0 -- The SWING live up to their name. Their pitchers don't do so bad either.
