Mariner System Report (Games of 5/3)

Seattle (MAJ: 12-17; 4th AL West): Seattle lost 6-5 in eleven innings at Chicago. Seattle held a 1-0 lead until the White Sox scored four times in the bottom of the seventh. The Mariners scored four times in the top of the ninth to take a 5-4 lead. However, Pablo Ozuna homered in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game and scored the winning run in the bottom of the eleventh. Gil Meche (WI ’98) allowed three runs on three hits over six innings for a no decision.

Tacoma (AAA – 15-10; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma shutout Colorado Springs 6-0. Hunter Brown (WI ’02) was 4-for-4 with an RBI and Kevin Appier worked six scoreless innings and gave up just three hits for the win.

San Antonio (AA – 10-15; 4th Texas League South Division): The Missions were off yesterday

Inland Empire (High-A – 15-11; 2nd California League South Division): Inland Empire crushed Lake Elsinore 19-1. Ron Prettyman was 4-for-4 with four RBI. Matt Tuiasosopo (WI ’05) had four hits and drove in a pair of runs. Justin Jordan allowed one hit over six shutout innings for the win.
