Mariner System Report (Games of 5/7

Seattle (MAJ: 13-20; 4th AL West): The Mariners lost 2-0 to the Indians. Jarrod Washburn gave up two runs on four hits, but took the loss. The Mariner offense had nine hits, but could not cross the plate.

Tacoma (AAA – 16-12; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Salt Lake beat Tacoma 8-2. Clint Nageotte (WI ’01) gave up seven runs on nine hits over six innings for the loss. TJ Bohn (WI ’03) had a pair of hits and scored a run for the Rainiers.

San Antonio (AA – 11-17; 4th Texas League South Division): Springfield beat San Antonio 3-1. Wladimir Balentien (WI ’04) homered in the top of the seventh inning to give the Missions a 1-0 lead. But, Ryan Feierabend (WI ’04) gave up three runs in the bottom of the inning and took the loss. Feierabend struck out seven over 6-1/3 innings.

Inland Empire (High-A – 17-13; T-1st California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 10-4 to San Jose. 66er starting pitcher Julio Santiago (WI ’05) pitched 1/3 of an inning and allowed one hit before leaving the game. Eric O’Flaherty (WI ’05) allowed five runs in 2-2/3 innings in relief for the loss. Josh Womack (WI ’05) was 3-for-3 with a run scored for the 66ers.
