@Peoria 5, Lansing 3 (10 innings) -- Kerry Wood gets front page treatment. Why not? He struck out twelve in five innings. Ryan Norwood won it for the Chiefs with a home in the bottom of the 12th. But, Wood was the focus of 8,426 at O'Brien Field.
South Bend 6, @ Quad Cities 4 (11 innings) -- When the words "Blunders aplenty" appear in the headline of the hometown paper, it was probably not a good day for the home team.
Southwest Michigan 3, @ Beloit 1 -- Yeah, these Devil Ray pitchers are pretty good. But, they needed a three run rally in the top of the ninth to win.
