He is the reigning Eastern League Offensive Player of the Week after hitting .500 last week.
In 2001, Castellano joined the Rattlers after opening day and wound up hitting .334 and 14 home runs. After the 2003 season, the Phillies picked him up and he has reached as high as the Phillies Triple-A affiliate, Scranton-WB.
A couple of quick Castellano highlights from the 2001 season. He had a two-homer 7 RBI night in Fort Wayne. He also hit a game-winning home run in the bottom of the seventeenth inning to beat the Wizards. It ended a very long night at the stadium.
