Seattle pitcher Gaylord Perry is ejected in the 7th inning of a 4-3 loss to the Red Sox for doctoring the baseball. It is the first time in his 20 ML seasons that the self-proclaimed spitball king has been bounced for that offense.

Finally caught him. It would be funny if it was an umpire that had been trying to prove it for years that finally got him. Kind of like Richard Kimble getting the one-armed man...Or to update it a few generations...Kind of like Fox Mulder proving the that Aliens exist...Or to bring it up to a series that is still actually on the air -- but I have never watched...Kind of like figuring out just what the heck the island on Lost is all about.
