Throwback Friday....

Because it's still Friday somewhere...

Throwback Fridays: 1984 Appleton Foxes
The Foxes went 87-49 during the regular season, winning their division by 11 games. Beloit, led by triple crown winner Joey Meyer, was the only other team in the league to win as many as 80 games. The pitching staff was outstanding, led by Bruce Tanner (12-4, 1.96 ERA), Kurt Walker (9-1, 1.96 ERA), and Jim Hickey (13-4, 20 saves, 1.81 ERA). Tanner threw three consecutive shutouts during August. The offense was led by OF Dave McLaughlin (.305), 1B Russ Morman (.262, 80 RBI), and OF Mike Taylor (.278, 49 SB).
