SEATTLE (MAJ: 73-55; 2nd AL West): The Mariners lost 5-3 at Texas. Former UW-Oshkosh Titan Jarrod Washburn allowed three runs over six innings and took the loss, the second straight to the Rangers.
TACOMA (AAA: 64-72; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 5-3 to Portland. Robert Rohrbaugh (’05) allowed two runs over six innings, but took the loss. Bryan LaHair (’04) had three hits and Rob Johnson (’05) drove in a run for the Rainiers, but a late rally fell short.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 58-74 overall; 27-35 second half; 5th second half Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx split a doubleheader at Huntsville. The Diamond Jaxx won game one 2-1 with Luis Oliveros (’02) collecting two hits and driving in one run. Huntsville won game two 4-0 as West Tennessee had four hits.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 52-81 overall; 21-42 second half; 5th second half California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 3-2 at Modesto. Marwin Vega (’06) allowed three runs (one earned) over seven innings, but took the loss as Brandon Hynick won his 16th game of the season for the Nuts...with a little help from the bullpen.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 29-37; 4th Northwest League West Division): The AquaSox lost 15-1 at Salem-Keizer. The win was the 51st of the season for the Volcanoes.
AZL Mariners (Rookie: 35-18 overall; 15-10 second half T-2nd Arizona League): The AZL M’s beat the Cubs 11-4.
